Stéphane Bienfait, born in 1968, presents his work of photographic images stemming from association of the world of painting to the observation of our contemporary society. The result, voluntarily ambiguous, prompts the observer, the reader, to wonder about the meaning. It questions through juxtaposition or even paradox between gentleness and violence of a sad reality. From the Renaissance, from Romanticism to the details of our daily life, the compositions astonish through their style without obvious sexuality, through the calligraphy of bodies in space. Simple or precarious equilibriums, ephemeral moments and outdated values of a forgotten era, sensuality, he pays tribute to women too worn out by life.

Stéphane Bienfait, né le 29 juin 1968, vous présente son travail d’images photographiques issues de l’alliance du monde de la peinture jusqu’au constat de notre société contemporaine. Le résultat, volontairement ambigu, interpelle le spectateur, le lecteur, sur la signification. Il questionne par la juxtaposition voire le paradoxe entre douceur et violence d’une triste réalité. De la renaissance, du romantisme aux détails de notre quotidien, les compositions étonnent par leur facture sans sexualité apparente, par la calligraphie des corps dans l’espace. Equilibres simples ou précaires, instants fugaces et valeurs surannées d’une époque oubliée, sensualité, il rend hommage aux femmes que la vie a trop usées.
